Point Park women's golf takes 2nd of 6 teams at St. Vincent Invitational

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Point Park University women's golf team continued to break new ground Monday by placing second of six teams at the St. Vincent Fall Invitational at Glengarry Golf Links.

The Pioneers placed second for the second tournament in a row, and there were twice as many teams in this most-recent event. Point Park's team score was 384 at St. Vincent, which bested their previous best of 408 at Ursuline Sept. 12.

Caroline Collins led Point Park with an 87, which put her in a tie for fifth individually. Collins had 44 on the front and 43 on the back.

Lauren Martauz was 12th with a 92 (46-46). Emily Slifka (102) and Rilyn Gancia (103) were 17th and 18th place, respectively.

Other competitors for Point Park were Taylor Cormas (110), Chloe Callison (111) and Rowan Lewis (119).

Point Park visits the Northwestern Ohio tournament this Friday, Sept. 23.
