SOUTH PARK, Pa. -- Point Park University women's soccer continued its early season success and remained unbeaten with Friday night's 3-0 shut out of non-conference Muskingum at Century United South Park Complex.

Point Park ran its record to 3-0 in the pre-conference slate and will begin Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Sunday at Berea (Ky.) (12 p.m.).

Point Park has made a habit of playing stingy defense, and that was the case once again versus Muskingum (2-2). The Pioneers allowed only four shots and picked up their second shutout in three games. So far this season, Point Park has 10 goals for and only 1 goal against.

Leeza Tokarski gave Point Park the only goal it would need when she scored the opening tallying 2:09 before halftime. Emily Levier assisted on the play. The Pioneers added two more scores fairly early in the second half as Megan Kuntz's third goal of the year came in the 52nd minute and Destiny James' first-career goal came in the 55th.

Point Park controlled the play with a 24-4 advantage in shots. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Pinto picked up four saves in 90 minutes to register her second shutout of the year.

Muskingum is an NCAA Division III school and a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference.
