PITTSBURGH -- Laying her claim to the fastest times in the KIAC this year in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, Point Park University's Amber Brown was chosen as the KIAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week by the conference on Monday (April 20, 2015).

Brown, a freshman from Warren, Ohio, and Warren JFK High School, set school records and placed in the 100 and 200 at the NCAA Division II Slippery Rock Invitational this past weekend.

She placed eighth in the 100 with a time of 12.63 seconds and eighth in the 200 with a time of 26.06 seconds, both of which established the best times in the KIAC for the 2015 outdoor season.

Brown was also a part of Point Park's 4x100 relay team that finished sixth with a time of 49.66 seconds.

The next competition for Brown and the Pioneers is the KIAC championship meet this Saturday, April 25 at Rio Grande, Ohio.
