The University was pleased to host the meeting, which gave Specter and Donovan an opportunity to talk about issues of local interest and hear the views of Western Pennsylvania leaders. Point Park President Paul Hennigan gave opening remarks, welcoming the group to campus.

Point Park is a leader in urban development efforts for Downtown Pittsburgh as the University implements its Academic Village Initiative, a $244 million campus and public space enhancement plan.  Academic Village projects are already transforming the University and having a major impact on Downtown Pittsburgh, with additional elements of the plan slated to take shape during 2010 and beyond.
