As a co-educational urban university with a tradition of teaching excellence, Point Park University has more than 3,800 students who may choose from among more than 70 undergraduate majors and 11 graduate programs through the University's School of Business, Conservatory of Performing Arts, School of Arts and Sciences and School of Communication.
Unlike some larger universities where students find themselves in huge classes taught by teaching assistants, Point Park offers students dedicated faculty and small classes that enhance the students' education both inside and outside of the classroom. Point Park students find that it is easy to make life-long connections with their professors because their classes are typically not larger than 25 students. There are many additional services in place to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Located in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh, Point Park is an anchor institution in the city's renaissance. The campus, which includes the Pittsburgh Playhouse of Point Park University in Pittsburgh's Oakland section, has expanded from five buildings to one of the downtown's largest footprints called the Academic Village.
