What to do in case of . . . Evacuation

Evacuate the building using the nearest exit.
If you encounter smoke or the exit is blocked, try another escape route.
If you have to escape through smoke, crawl on your hands and knees and keep your head low where the air is the cleanest.
Always use stairs...do not use elevators!
Take personal belongings (keys, purses, wallets, etc.)
Secure any hazardous materials or equipment before leaving.
Follow directions given by Public Safety personnel.
Go to Evacuation Assembly Point (EAP) designated in this building's evacuation plan and on building emergency evacuation signs.
Report in, and notify Public Safety if anyone is trapped or injured inside.
Assist persons with special needs.
