Security Division
The Security Division is responsible for providing all members of the University community with a safe and secure environment in which to work, learn, and grow. Point Park University security officers are not armed and do not have arresting powers.
All security officers have received criminal background clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance network. All Officers are CPR/AED and First Aid certified and can serve as first responders in case of emergency in the absence of professional medical assistance.
The Point Park University Department of Public Safety's Security Division is a progressive, approachable, proactive group dedicated to the security of the University community.
Numerous crime prevention programs are being offered on a regular basis. The focal point is, and always will be, reducing the vulnerability from crime of students, faculty, staff, and visitors of our University.
