Financial Aid Appeals

Financial aid is based in part on the student and family's documented income and circumstances. If there is a change in the family's financial circumstances after the financial aid application is completed, the Office of Financial Aid may recalculate your eligibility based on anticipated income for next year.  These following examples are circumstances that can be appealed:

  • Loss of job for at least 10 weeks in 2011
  • Reduction of income for at least 10 weeks in 2011
  • Reduction of child support in 2011
  • Separation or divorce in 2011
  • Any other financial circumstances that may affect the student attending Point Park University.

The Financial Aid Appeals committee meets on a weekly basis to consider special circumstances and changing family situations.

To appeal your financial aid, please visit the Financial Aid Forms page, where the Appeals and Special Considerations Worksheet is located.
