Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant program assists students demonstrating financial need according to economic criteria and program requirements established by the federal government. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

Students must enroll in a degree or approved certificate/diploma program and be matriculating for their first bachelor’s degree.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Students with considerable need who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant are considered for this grant which is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by Point Park University. The amount of funds received for this grant is limited. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

Awarded only to students who complete their FAFSA before April 15 unless funds are exhausted prior to that date.
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Must be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 to 18 credits per semester)
- Must be in their first (0-24 credits) or second (25-48 credits) year

Must have completed a rigorous high school program of study
Award Amounts:
- First-year students are eligible to receive $750 per academic year. Award is disbursed upon receipt and review of the official final high school transcript.

Second-year students who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA upon earning 24 credits are eligible to receive $1,300 per academic year.
National Science & Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART)
Students are eligible to receive $4,000 per academic year for a maximum of two years if the following eligibility criteria are met:
- Must be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be enrolled full-time in an eligible major (12 to 18 credits per semester and verified before each semester disbursement)
- Must be in their third (49-72 credits) or fourth (73 plus credits) year

3.0 cumulative GPA or higher (verified before each semester disbursement)
Pennsylvania State Grant Program
Who is eligible? Pennsylvania residents who are enrolled on at least a half time (6 credits per semester) basis. Please note that the Pennsylvania State Grant has a different academic progress policy than do federal and institutional grants. Eligiblility criteria are as follows:
- Based on income information and dependency status as reported on the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and reviewed by Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.
- Students must complete the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) on or before May 1 of each academic year to be considered for state grant assistance.
Out-of-state students may be eligible for similar grants from their own state agencies. To arrange for such grants, students should contact their appropriate state agency. The states currently offering grants which may be used by students attending Point Park University are as follows:

Point Park University Grant
All students who complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are considered for the Point Park University Grant. The award and the amount of the award are determined based upon the following:
- Demonstrated financial need

Amount is determined by the level of the student’s financial need and the availability of funds
TEACH Grant Program
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 per academic year to students who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.
