Scholarships for Full-time Students

All scholarships listed are for new, incoming full-time freshman and transfer applicants (12 to 18 credits per semester non-accelerated).  There is not a separate application process to be considered for scholarships.

Conservatory vs. Non-Conservatory

  • Conservatory students are those majoring in dance, theatre arts, screenwriting, and cinema and digital arts.
  • Non-Conservatory students are those studying in all other programs.

Conservatory Scholarships

Artistic Achievement Award

Artistic Achievement Award recipients can be awarded $2,000 to $14,000 per academic year who have demonstrated a high caliber of artistic ability through the audition process and/or a personal interview.

To retain the Artistic Achievement Award, students must be enrolled as full-time student (12 to 18 credits per semester) in the Conservatory and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout the completion of their undergraduate studies.

Dean’s Academic Scholarship

Recipients of the Dean’s Academic Scholarship can be awarded $5,000 per academic year if the following criteria are met:

Freshman Applicants:
  • A 3.5 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale
  • A total of 1760 on the SAT (including the writing component), or…
  • A composite score of 26 on the ACT

Transfer Applicants:
  • A 3.5 cumulative grade point average

To retain the Dean’s Academic Scholarship, students must be enrolled as full-time student (12 to 18 credits per semester) in the Conservatory and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout the completion of their undergraduate studies.

Conservatory Scholarship Restriction

The total scholarship amount for applicants awarded both the Artistic Achievement Award and the Dean’s Academic Scholarship will not exceed $14,000 per academic year.

Non-Conservatory Freshmen Scholarships

Presidential Scholarship

Non-Conservatory freshman applicants are awarded $11,000 per academic year to full-time freshmen who meet the following criteria:

  • A 3.0 high school grade point average in a college preparatory curriculum (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • A total of 1700 on the three sections of the SAT, or...
  • A composite score of 25 on the ACT

To retain the Presidential Scholarship, students must be enrolled as full-time student (12 to 18 credits per semester) and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout the completion of their undergraduate studies.

Trustee Scholarship

Non-Conservatory freshman applicants are awarded $9,000 per academic year to full-time freshmen who meet the following criteria:

  • A 3.0 high school grade point average in a college preparatory curriculum (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • A total of 1500 on the SAT (including the writing component), or...
  • A composite score of 21 on the ACT

To retain the Trustee Scholarship, students must be enrolled as full-time student (12 to 18 credits per semester) and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout the completion of their undergraduate studies.

Non-Conservatory Transfer Scholarships

Transfer Merit Scholarship

Non-Conservatory transfer applicants are awarded $5,000 per academic year to full-time transfer who meets the following criteria:

  • A 3.5 cumulative grade point average

To retain the Transfer Merit Scholarship, students must be enrolled as full-time student (12 to 18 credits per semester) and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average throughout the completion of their undergraduate studies.

Department Scholarships

New, incoming full-time undergraduate non-Conservatory students may be eligible for department scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 per academic year.  Visit the Personal Essay page for department scholarship criteria.
