EZ-Borrow

EZ-Borrow allows Point Park University students, staff, and faculty to borrow books from participating PALCI institutions. If the Point Park University Library does not own an item you need, you can search and request items from other regional academic libraries using EZ-Borrow.

The items you request will be delivered directly to the Point Park University Library for you to check out. Items are generally delivered within 3 to 5 days and you will be notified via email when the requested material is available for pickup.

The EZ-Borrow system handles requests for books only. If you need a photocopy of an article or a book that cannot be found by using EZ-Borrow please request it through Interlibrary Loan.

To search and request books using EZ-Borrow follow the 2 steps below:

1. Search PointCat to determine whether the Point Park University Library owns the item(s) you need.

2. If the item(s) is NOT currently owned by the Point Park University Library or is currently checked out / missing / unavailable, then click on EZ-Borrow and follow the instructions to search and request the desired item.

Direct Borrowing for Faculty Members from Participating EZ-Borrow Libraries

If authorized, Point Park Faculty members can directly borrow items from participating EZ-Borrow libraries by filing out a Direct Faculty Borrowing Authorization Form. This form allows faculty members to go directly to a participating EZ-Borrow institution and check out material.

In order to directly borrow material in this manner the Direct Faculty Borrowing Authorization Form requires the authorizing signature of a Point Park University Library staff member.

Please note: Faculty members are responsible for all fines that may be levied by the lending library and all material must be returned to the lending institution by the borrowing faculty member.
