Ed Traversari brings his expertise in live entertainment to the sport, arts and entertainment management program.

Traversari has more than 30 years of live entertainment expertise including being partner in the local Pittsburgh concert promotion company DiCesare Engler Productions.  DiCesare Engler produced concerts at the Stanley Theatre (which they later sold to the Cultural District to become The Benedum Center), the Syria Mosque, AJ Palumbo Center, Mellon Arena, Heinz Field, PNC Park and Chevrolet Amphitheatre at Station Square, among others. His duties at DiCesare Engler included talent buyer, director of marketing, production manager and general manager of the Chevrolet Amphitheatre at Station Square.

In 1999, DiCesare Engler Productions was purchased by SFX Entertainment, which was later sold to Clear Channel Entertainment and most recently spun off to Live Nation, the largest producer of live entertainment events in the United States.

Traversari teaches as a professional in residence in the sport, arts and entertainment management program at Point Park.  In addition to teaching, he consults on various projects including working with HJD Enterprises producing concerts for PBS television as well as marketing and producing events for Heinz Hall, The Pittsburgh Irish Festival and Seven Springs Resort.

Point Park University's student newspaper, The Globe, did a feature on Traversari's extensive concert industry career.  Traversari was also featured in the article "SAEM students help promote, produce historic Marley concert."
