The Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership in the School of Business at Point Park University offers students the opportunity to study the fields of leadership development, community leadership and technology management. The program introduces the undergraduate student to requisite skills and knowledge of best practices in the areas of leadership and the ‘people skills' that organizations are seeking. In addition to seminal and contemporary theories, many of the concepts, tools and techniques emerging in leadership studies are introduced. Interdisciplinary-based courses include: interpersonal and organizational communication skills, strategic decision-making, cross-cultural perspectives, and community leadership as well as qualitative research methods for organizational studies and/or community-based concerns.
The Organizational Leadership Program:
The Organizational Leadership Program is designed to enable students to develop their knowledge, skills and proficiencies in a changing job market and contribute to students' successes and the success of the businesses, non-profit and governmental organizations that employ them. Further, the program's career-focused elective concentrations now enable a student to design a supervised track from the University's other bachelor-level programs to permit a high degree of individualization and specialization that fosters the over-all University's commitment.
