As an education and resource center, Career Development provides services and programs to help students develop the necessary professional skills to achieve their goals, advance their professions, and serve their communities.  Career Development facilitates partnerships between students, faculty, staff, employers, and alumni to maximize career opportunities.

After working with us, students and alumni who use our services will be able to:

  • create tailored resumes and cover letters for specific jobs
  • use the Point Park Career Network and other technology to research and apply for jobs and upload documents
  • conduct a successful job interview
  • develop a professional network by taking part in networking opportunities
  • create career goals and develop a plan on how to achieve those goals

Schedule an appointment or walk in

We work with students and alumni in one-on-one counseling appointments in the Career Development Center or by telephone or email, depending on which best suits students' schedules.  To make an appointment with a Career Counselor, please email your resume (Microsoft Word document format) and completed student information form to careerdev@pointpark.edu.

Key Services

The Career Development Center offers a wide range of services to help students and alumni tap into employment resources and opportunities:

Career Development Center Staff

The Career Development Center includes four part-time career counselors and one full-time office administrator to meet the needs of Point Park University students and alumni.  Each of our career counselors will soon be assigned to one of the University's four academic schools, encouraging a strong connection and collaboration with each school and its associated Student Success Center.
