Kevin Kauffman - Class of 2009
"The thing that I really like about the Cinema department is the personal attention that we get. Our teachers and staff are always present if you need any sort of help whether it be with your projects or your career in general. The class sizes are small which allows for a more hands on approach to learning which is really important in the arts. Also the equipment we have available to us is much better than any of the other schools that I looked at. The equipment we use is comparable (if not better) to what we will be using once we are in the industry. The availability of resources and opportunities are so valuable to your growth as a filmmaker and Point Park University can provide them."
Elise LaGamba - Class of 2009
"The education in the cinema department is all-encompassing. Not only do we learn the technical side of production and post-production with up-to-date equipment and software, but we learn about the history and theory behind what we're doing. This is why I chose Point Park over other film schools."
Chris Conroy - Class of 2008
"I like the hands-on experience that I'm receiving here. My professors make sure that we get the same experience that we'd actually have in the field, instead of just teaching it in the classroom. And you definitely get individual attention."

Lindsey Whissel - Class of 2008
"In the cinema program there is a strong emphasis on practical experience; you are learning by doing. The professors are actively involved in the development of each student and the curriculum is comprehensive and thorough. The education I received gave me confidence to step into the working world and keep pace with seasoned professionals."
Maria Leon - Class of 2007
"The Cinema program allows us to progressively find which specific concentration best fits our strengths and interests. We get to choose two different areas of interest by our second year and we get to explore those during sophomore year. Having small specific classes allows us to move faster and more smoothly into the curriculum. This program is pretty awesome."
James Lockhart - Class of 2007
"I get access to all of the tools that I need to create my art. I enjoy the small class sizes, the films that I'm introduced to, and the people that I get to work with. It's taught me how to prepare a film across all three stages of production efficiently and effectively."
