Background
John McManus is a theatre artist, originally from Australia, where he began his career studying Rudolf Steiner’s creative speech and the Michael Chekhov acting technique. Later, he studied the voice and speech techniques of Patsy Rodenburg, Kristin Linklater, Catherine Fitzmaurice and Louis Colaianni as well as eurythmy (an art of movement). He was the artistic director of Walking the Dog Theater and Shakespeare Alive! He gives workshops at the Michael Chekhov Association and the Herbert Berghof Studios in New York City.
