Background

Michael McKelvey comes to Point Park after serving as Coordinator of Music and Director of Musical Theatre at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. While in Austin, he worked extensively as a stage director, music director, composer, producer, choral conductor, performer, and, most importantly voice teacher. He has held voice studios in Los Angeles, Dallas and Austin. In Austin, he still serves as the Artistic Director of SummerStock Austin and D.M. Productions, and is an artistic associate with Penfold Theatre Company.
