Conservatory of Performing Arts

Student Success Center

The Center for Student Success can help you with:

Registration

The registration process for incoming students in the Conservatory of Performing Arts is unique in that we are the only school that will provide your schedule for you. We put a lot of careful consideration into building the best possible schedule for you based upon your audition results. However, we know that an audition held months ago may not reflect the true level of your technique, so once you are on campus, dance placement will be held to re-evaluate you for the correct placement. Until that time, your schedule should not be changed except in the instance of a duplicated academic course, i.e., Advanced Placement and/or transfer credit.

For returning students, meeting with your faculty advisor is required. The two of you will build and agree upon a course of study that is right for the path you plan to follow. Then when you register online, the courses you select are again reviewed by your advisor for approval. It is this personalized attention that helps to ensure that our students are a success.

If you need assistance with the online registration process, tutorials are available at the Learning Center located within the Point Park website.

The Center for Students Success staff is also available to field your registration questions Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or by appointment.
