About the Program

The innovative Pathways Program provides a quick, convenient way for adults to earn the 60 credits needed to enter into one of Point Park University's popular accelerated degree completion programs.

For students who have completed some college credits, the Pathways program offers the opportunity to take additional courses in an accelerated Saturday format or in a more traditional evening format. Flexible scheduling and a variety of classes make it easy to tailor the program to the individual student. With hundreds of evening and Saturday students, Point Park has class schedules designed specifically for the working adult.

Pathways students can complete up to twelve credits per semester by taking classes on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Courses include liberal arts, organizational leadership, and business. The accelerated Saturday format divides the semester into two seven-week quarters. By taking a morning class (8:30-12:30) and an afternoon class (1:30-5:30), students may register for six credits each quarter and twelve for the semester.

Those who prefer weekday or weeknight courses have the full range of traditional Point Park University classes available to them.  Once students have achieved the 60-credit requirement for admission into a degree completion program, they may immediately apply for admission to the accelerated program of their choice:

  • Business
  • Criminal Justice
  • Information Technology and Management
  • Integrated Marketing Communications
  • Organizational Leadership
