Homeland Security Certificate Offered Fully Online or in a Face-to-Face Class Format

Point Park University in Downtown Pittsburgh offers a national security and intelligence certificate for undergraduates. Students can choose to complete this national security certificate program in a traditional, face-to-face classroom format or can take all of the courses fully online.

With a national security certificate, individuals can enhance their current profession, increase job opportunities and eventually achieve a bachelor’s degree in intelligence and national security. A certificate in intelligence and national security will help students advance to administrative positions in their chosen professions in the fields of homeland security, intelligence and law enforcement, as well as in the emergency medical services environment.

The primary focus of this national security certificate program is on an understanding of intelligence and its effect in policy development. Additional areas taught include the application of critical thinking and the measures of response and preparedness to overt and covert threats to national security.
