Admission Requirements and Course Schedule for Adult Education Certificate

The post-baccalaureate certificate in adult education is open to individuals who already possess a bachelor’s degree and seek specific knowledge in adult education and administration. The 18-credit stand-alone certificate can be completed in just 12 months by taking two, three-credit courses (six credits) in each of the fall, spring and summer terms.

Because the courses are only seven weeks long, students can focus on the objectives for one course at a time allowing for deeper understanding of the content area. The certificate program includes effective adult instructional methods, yet its primary focus is on administration, supervision and leadership in adult education settings.

This program can also successfully lead into our Master of Arts in curriculum and instruction.
