Lesson Plan Themes

Dr. Vincenne Revilla Beltran , director and founder of Project: Children LEAD has developed a series of themes appropriate to early childhood and elementary education students.

The LEAD curriculum lesson themes begin with first learning to appreciate self and others; lessons build to increasingly macro based lessons, each building on the previously learned knowledge and skills. LEAD lesson themes
are:

  • Getting to Know You
  • I Am Special You Are Special Too
  • Families and Neighborhoods
  • Using Words to Work Things Out
  • Physical Differences
  • Foods and Languages of the World
  • International Festival: Passport to the World
  • l2

The main learning objectives of the LEAD curriculum is to teach children early to appreciate and value human diversity in their classrooms, families, neighborhoods and communities. Dr. Vincenne Revilla Beltran hopes Project Children LEAD will make a positive difference in the lives and futures of young children fortunate enough to experience diversity education at an early age in
a positive and supportive learning environment.
