The Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering Technology (NSET) offers graduate assistantships with all tuition and fees paid along with an annual stipend of $9,600. The graduate assistant must be a full-time incoming or current student in the Master of Science in Environmental Studies program and must work in the NSET department for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Contracts are for one year and may be renewed for one year.
Both U.S. citizens and international students are eligible to apply. Graduate assistants report to John Kudlac, Ph.D., professor and NSET graduate program director, who determines work assignments based on the needs of the department and the talents and skills of the successful candidate.
Currently, two graduate assistantships are available for the Sept. 2013 through Aug. 2014 academic year.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for an NSET graduate assistantship:
- A 3.25 overall G.P.A.;
- A resume and cover letter stating why you are seeking the assistantship; and
- Two letters of recommendation.
