BS Mathematics/Secondary Education Program Guide

Bachelor of Science Degree Leading to Certification in Mathematics/Secondary Education

Students in the Mathematics/Secondary Education B.S. program study 36 credits of humanities, science, and mathematics to satisfy core curriculum requirements of the University. They study another 11-12 credits of science and computer science to satisfy general requirements of the Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering Technology. An additional 6 credits of general college electives are required.

Building upon this foundation, students complete an additional 32 credits of mathematical coursework and 39 credits of educational coursework that develop the specialized knowledge and skills needed to teach mathematics.
