The Center for Student Success, School of Arts and Sciences
The School of Arts and Sciences recognizes that the collegiate life is not one-size-fits-all. The Center for Student Success was established to provide individualized support, services, and programming to help our students to succeed academically while balancing the challenges of daily life. Our intent is to target the Point Park student’s specific issues and concerns, and to provide them with the resources they need to craft a meaningful and memorable student experience. All Arts and Sciences students in the departments of Education, Natural Sciences and Engineering Technologies, Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies, and Humanities and Human Sciences are eligible to utilize the Center and its committed staff.
The Center for Student Success can help you with:
Registration
The registration process for students enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences is unique to each of our four departments and their majors. It is important to contact the department that houses your major and become familiar with its specific registration policies and procedures. Some departments and majors in the School of Arts and Sciences may require a scheduled meeting with your academic advisor prior to registration, while others may encourage you to register online.
When you register online, the courses you select will be added to your schedule and will be reviewed by your academic advisor. Your advisor will approve your selections or contact you via your Point Park e-mail to make any necessary scheduling changes.
If you need assistance with the online registration process, tutorials are available at the Learning Center located within the Point Park Web site.
The Center for Students Success staff is also available to field your registration questions Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, or by appointment.
