How do I register for classes?
Students in the School of Arts and Sciences are able to register for their courses online via PointWeb or by making an appointment with their advisor.
How do I know who my advisor is?
Advisor assignments are determined by major and can be located on PointWeb by contacting your academic department or by contacting the Success Center staff:

How can I schedule an appointment with my advisor?
Students should contact their advisor prior to the opening of registration to schedule an appointment. Contact can be made by phone, email, or by office visit. If you need assistance in contacting your advisor, please contact your academic department or the Student Success Center.
How do I know what classes I still need to take?
Student can see what courses they still need to take to complete their program guide by meeting with their advisor or by accessing their advising worksheet on PointWeb. It is important that students meet regularly with their advisor to ensure that they are making necessary progress to degree completion. Students may also contact the Student Success Center for graduation information.
How do I know what courses are being offered?
Course offerings can be found in the online coursebook. Hard copies of the coursebook are available in the Office of the Registrar, 9th Floor, Thayer Hall.
Where can I find course descriptions?
Descriptions of courses offered at Point Park are found in the undergraduate and graduate catalogs which can be accessed here.
How do I withdraw from a course?
In order to withdraw from a course, you must complete a schedule change request form before the withdrawal date. Withdrawal dates can be found in the informational pages of the course book. Please be advised that failure to complete necessary paperwork may result in a failing grade for the course. Questions concerning the withdrawal process should be directed to the Success Center.
How do I withdraw from all of my courses?
To withdraw from all classes requires the completion of a complete withdrawal form before the withdraw date. This form requires several signatures before the form will be processed. Please be advised that failure to complete necessary paperwork may result in failing grades. Questions concerning the withdrawal process should be directed to the Success Center.
Is it possible to take summer classes at another institution to fulfill my Point Park requirements?
Students interested in taking summer classes to be transferred in as Point Park credit must complete a request to take course at another institution form. This allows the course to be evaluated prior to the start of the course to determine if it can be assigned credit. You must receive a C or better in order to receive credit. Questions concerning taking summer courses at another institution should be directed to the Success Center.

How do I declare a minor?
If you are interested in a minor, you must meet with a departmental advisor and complete a request for a minor form. Paperwork should be filed at least one term prior to graduation. Questions concerning the declaration of a minor may be directed to the Student Success Center.
Who do I talk to about declaring a double major?
To declare a double major, a student must complete a double major declaration form. A student pursuing a double major should speak with an advisor in each of his or her intended majors. For assistance in this process, students should contact their academic departments or the Student Success Center.
