Earn a Master's in Media Communication

Multimedia and multiplatform journalism. Public relations. Advertising. Watchdog journalism. Independent documentary.

Point Park University's innovative Master of Arts in Media Communication (formerly the M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication) equips students with the tools to do real-world journalism, create public relations and advertising campaigns and produce compelling documentaries using cutting-edge tools and distribution channels.

Specialize in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising or Documentary

Students in the M.A. in Media Communication program choose one of three specializations:

Expert faculty who teach in the media communication program include current and former journalists, broadcasters, public relations and advertising professionals, designers and documentarians, as well as experienced researchers and theorists.

The 36-credit program prepares students to excel as journalists, public relations and advertising professionals, or documentarians.

Upon completion of their M.A. degree, students can take these skills into the professional world or continue their education and pursue a Ph.D.
