Scholarships for All Types of Students

Scholarships do not need to be repaid. They are awarded to students based on special talents, skill or high academic achievement.

When you are accepted to Point Park University, you automatically are considered for wide range of merit-based scholarships based on academic and/or artistic achievement. We invite you to explore the many scholarships listed below.

In addition, we encourage students to seek out private scholarships -- from organizations, businesses and other special-interest groups. At Point Park, you will never have your merit-based aid reduced if you receive outside scholarships.

  • GPA 3.0 non-weighted, academic cumulative high school grade point average in a college preparatory curriculum (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • SAT 1700 on all three sections - OR - or ACT composite score of 25
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and full-time traditional undergraduate status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Vice Presidential

  • Candidates will have demonstrated high caliber of artistic ability through the artistic audition process and/or a personal interview
  • Intended major must be dance, theatre arts, cinema production, digital arts or screenwriting

  • Candidates are notified of award in the artistic decision letter
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and full-time COPA status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Dean's

  • SAT 1760 total, including the writing component - OR -

Notes: Students majoring in dance, theatre, cinema production, digital arts and screenwriting must be accepted both academically and artistically to be eligible for COPA scholarships. Total annual maximum of artistic achievement scholarship and dean's academic scholarship is $14,000.

  • Candidates are considered at the time of admission decision
  • Candidates are notified upon acceptance to Point Park University                                                                            
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and at least Part-time (6-8 credits) status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY

ADULT STUDENTS

Scholarship 		3 tuition credits    
  • Open to FULL-TIME and PART-TIME students who are AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD and pursuing their college degree with little or no college experience
  • Competition is held in the spring of each year
  • All entrants must have a cumulative Point Park University GPA of 3.0 or above and must complete a 500-word essay on a specific question
  • Contact the Office of Academic and Student Affairs for more information and application (available the first day of Spring semester)
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
