- A transfer applicant is a student that has completed 12 or more credits a regionally accredited college, university or technical school.

Point Park University has three separate admissions offices. For admissions information, please visit the appropriate page:
- Full-Time Undgraduate Admissions (U.S. citizens or permanent residents who want to take 12 to 18 credits per semester, and who want to attend classes primarily Monday through Friday during the day and evening.)
- Part-Time Undergraduate Admissions (U.S. citizens or permanent residents who want to take3 to 11 credits per semester primarily attending evening or Saturday classes.)
- Accelerated Undergraduate Admissions (U.S. citizens or permanent residents who want to takeclasses in an accelerated Saturday-only format, 12 credits per semester.)
- Graduate Admissions (U.S. citizens or permanent residents who want to takegraduate classes).
- International Admissions (Students from outside the U.S. who want to take 12 to 18 credits per semester, and who want to attend classes primarily Monday through Friday during the day and evening.)
