Point Park men's soccer wins season opener, 7-2

CHESWICK, Pa. -- The Point Park men's soccer team opened its season Wednesday with a 7-2, home victory over non-conference Franciscan. The Pioneers (1-0) had two goals and an assist from Matt Annecchiarico.

Point Park University is located in downtown Pittsburgh and is a member of the NAIA and the American Mideast Conference. The Pioneers sponsor 11 varsity sports teams that compete on the intercollegiate level.
