Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society Induction held Dec. 7

PITTSBURGH -- Thirty-seven Point Park University student-athletes were recognized Friday (Dec. 7, 2012) for induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honors Society Rho Chapter at Point Park University during an induction ceremony held in the Student Center.
Juniors and seniors with a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher are eligible for induction. Juniors received an induction pin and certificate. Seniors received an honor cord to be worn at the upcoming commencement ceremony in May 2013 at the Consol Energy Center. Seniors who were honored for the first time this year also got the induction pin along with the juniors.
On hand to present the student-athletes for induction and also to lead the oath of office was Dr. Darlene Marnich, Point Park University Faculty Athletics Representative and Chair of the Education Department. Dr. Marnich and Point Park Assistant Athletic Director Michelle Coultas teamed up in presenting the awards to the student-athletes.
