DESCRIPTION

Founders Field is the official home of Point Park soccer, and the facility serves as a popular host for many sport organizations in Western Pennsylvania. It is located 20 minutes north of downtown Pittsburgh.

The 12-acre facility in Cheswick also plays host to the University of Pittsburgh women's soccer program, the Carlow University women's soccer team, the Winchester Thurston boys' soccer team, the North Star Soccer Club, and most notably the Pittsburgh Harlequins Rugby Football Club.

Founders Field is run by non-profit group, and all of the money that is made is reinvested into the facility or into underprivileged children in Homewood, Hazelwood, Braddock and McKees Rocks.

Driving Directions

From Pittsburgh:

Take Route 28 North to the Harmarville Exit. Go left off the exit onto Route 910 West. Follow Rt. 910 W about four miles then make a right onto Cove Run Road shortly after the Emmerling Plaza Shopping Center. At the first intersection, make a left on Eisele Road then a left into the parking lot

From the turnpike:

Take Exit 5 (Allegheny Valley Expressway) and take the right ramp toward Route 28. At the third traffic light make a right onto Route 910 West. Follow Rt. 910 West about four miles then make a right onto Cove Run Road shortly after the Emmerling Plaza Shopping Center. At the first intersection, make a left on Eisele Road then a left into the parking lot.
