Point Park versus IU Southeast PPD April 12, series shifts to Pullman Park for April 13

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University's home baseball games vs. IU Southeast on Friday, April 12 have been postponed due to rain. The four-game, KIAC series will begin on Saturday, April 13 at Pullman Park in Butler, Pa., for two games with a first pitch at 1 p.m.

Friday's games were scheduled for the Pioneers' home field of Point Park Field at Green Tree Park, but the games were rained out, and the first games of the series have been shifted to Pullman Park due to field conditions. The series will shift back to Point Park Field for another doubleheader between the teams scheduled for Sunday, April 14 at 12 p.m.

Point Park (25-11, 12-4 KIAC) and IU Southeast (22-20, 10-5 KIAC) are playing the weekend series with the KIAC Regular Season title on the line. First-place Point Park needs at least a split of the four-game series with a 1.5 game lead over second-place IU Southeast. The regular season champion will get the No. 1 seed in the KIAC Tournament April 24-27 at pre-determined site IU Southeast.

Saturday's games will be broadcast live on the Point Park Sports Network with streaming video at www.iHigh.com/PointParkSportsNetwork. Tune in for the pre-game show at 12:50 p.m.

Pullman Park is located at 201 Pillow Street, Butler, PA  16001. The ballpark is regarded as one of the best for minor-league and summer baseball in the Western Pennylvania area. The facility was the home field of Point Park baseball in the early 2000s and was mostly recently the site of the 2011 AMC Baseball Tournament hosted by Point Park.
