NAIA World Series Baseball team to be recognized at Basketball game Jan. 22

Point Park NAIA World Series 2012

PITTSBURGH -- The Point Park University baseball team will be recognized for its 2012 NAIA World Series fifth-place finish at the Point Park basketball games on Jan. 22, 2013. The Pioneers will be recognized at halftime of the men's game.

The men's basketball game vs. IU East tips off at 7:30 p.m. that night, and the halftime recognition will take place at approximately 8:00 p.m. All Point Park baseball fans are invited to celebrate the Pioneers. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 students and free with Point Park student ID. Tickets are available at the door.

Point Park basketball games are at CCAC-South Gym in West Mifflin, Pa. The address is 1750 Clairton Road, West Mifflin, Pa. 15122.

Fan Vans are available and are free with Point Park Student ID. Fan Vans leave the Student Center Lot at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Women's game is at 5:30 p.m.

Point Park baseball had a record of 53-11 in 2012 to set a school record for wins and also made its 11th appearance in the NAIA World Series. The Pioneers finished fifth in the nation and were ranked No. 6 in the Final NAIA Baseball Top 25 Poll of the year.
