PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University junior right-hander Nolan Krivijanski was named the KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week April 20-26 for his strong outing versus Talladega (Ala.) on April 23.

Krivijanski, a graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic, limited a strong-hitting Talladega team to just three hits and two runs to earn the victory in six innings. He struck out three and walked one.

One of the top starters for No. 24-ranked Point Park (36-11), Krivijanski is 6-2 with a 3.69 ERA in eight starts. In 46.1 innings, he has struck out 36, walked 17 and opponents are hitting .261 off of him.

Krivijanski is a 6-5, 210-pound right-hander who throws hard. He is in his second year at Point Park and his first as an active player. He had to sit out a year following his transfer, which had him start his career as a quarterback for Duquense football and later move on to California (Pa.) to venture into college baseball for the first time.

Krivijanski and the Pioneers will next be in action at the KIAC Tournament April 29-May 2 in Kingsport, Tenn. Follow the Pioneers on Twitter @PointParkSports and @PPUBaseball
