MICHAEL DEJESUS -- Assistant Baseball Coach (1st Year)

Michael DeJesus is in his first year as an assistant baseball coach at Point Park University in 2015. DeJesus spent one year as a player at Point Park in 2014 when he was an All-KIAC performer for the Pioneers.

An infielder, DeJesus started 57 games and hit .366 (68 for 186) and led the Pioneers with 23 doubles, five home runs and 49 RBIs. His 23 doubles tied a Point Park single-season record for most doubles in a year. He ranked seventh nationally in that category.

DeJesus played shortstop and third base for Point Park. He was in the top five of the KIAC statistical rankings in batting average, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage (.581) and on-base percentage (.457).

DeJesus is a native of Hialeah, Fla., who spent his first three years of college baseball at NAIA St. Thomas (Fla.) University. He is a graduate of Hialeah HS
