Point Park's Joe DeWitt named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University senior men's cross country runner Joe DeWitt was named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete, the NAIA announced last weekend. DeWitt, a senior from Cochranton, Pa., is one of 159 men's cross country runners in the nation to get the award.

To qualify for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must be a junior or senior with a GPA of at least 3.5 and cannot be in their first year at a school. DeWitt, also an NAIA Scholar-Athlete last year, owns a GPA of 3.91 in Cinema & Digital Arts.
