PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University junior Connor Mulvaney was named the KIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 7-13 for his performance at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational Oct. 12 in Schenley Park.

Mulvaney ran his fastest 8K time of the year to place 54th of 202 runners in attendance with a time of 28:51. Mulvaney, from Moon Twp., Pa., had been in and out of the lineup due to injuries in recent weeks but has been the Pioneers' top runner when healthy.

Mulvaney and the Pioneers take this coming weekend off before visiting the Carlow Meet Oct. 26. That is the final regular season event before the KIAC Meet Nov. 9 at Midway (Ky.). Mulvaney will be looking for a high finish at the conference meet to possibly qualifier for the NAIA national meet.
