Point Park men's XC beats Carlow in Dual Meet 5K to end regular season

PITTSBURGH -- The Point Park University men's cross country team beat Carlow University in a Dual Meet 5K on Saturday (Oct. 26) to end the regular season. It was the final event before the KIAC Meet in two weeks Nov. 9 at Midway (Ky.) College.

The Pioneers had a season-high eight runners compete in the race and had its top runners complete the 5K rather quickly. Junior Connor Mulvaney led Point Park by a wide margin with a time of 17:13. Sophomore Zane Kravec was next at 17:53, and Jon Rohlf was just on the other side of 18 minutes at 18:03.

Eric Engel (18:21), Luke Shannon (19:04), Jon Andreassi (19:12), Adam Freeman (20:37) and Tim Wadell (22:53) also competed for the Pioneers.

At the KIAC Meet up next, Point Park will have a chance to advance its team or individuals to the NAIA national meet. The team champion and top individual qualifiers move on to nationals.
