NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Andrew Rowland set a Point Park University men's cross country record with his time of 26 minutes, one second at the Walsh-Malone Invitaitonal Saturday. The junior from Fox Chapel placed 5th individually to lead a group of six Point Park runners who set career-best times.
As a team, Point Park finished fifth of nine teams. It was the first time this season that Point Park ran in an AMC event, and it finishes the season in two weeks at the American Mideast Conference Meet Nov. 6 at Houghton.
Rowland, who is in his first season at Point Park since transferring from Geneva College, was the first runner to cross the finish line who was not running for team champion Malone University.
