GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Dylan Grunn placed 8th individually to lead the Point Park University men's cross country team to 5th-place finish of 9 teams at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational Saturday.
Grunn, a junior from Honesdale, Pa., turned in a time of 28:50 to get into the top 10 placements in the field of 85 runners.
The Pioneers were unable to defend the first-place title that they won at the same event last year, but they still came through with a decent finish considering they were without their top runner Andrew Rowland, who sat out nursing an injury.
Conor Mulvaney (31:08), Reuben Rono (32:03), Chris Kennedy (32:38) and Jon Rohlf (32:43) completed the Point Park team time of 2:37:24. Luke Shannon (33:46) and Joe DeWitt (36:55) rounded out the Point Park runners.
The Pioneers will compete next Saturday Oct. 8 at the Carnegie Mellon meet hosted in Schenley Park.
