Daemen snaps Point Park’s four game win streak
AMHERST, NY--Daemen College snapped Point Park’s four game win streak Tuesday night in AMC conference play 92-80.
For the Wildcats they had five players in double-digit scoring versus the Pioneers.
The Wildcat defense limited AMC player of the week senior guard Jimmy Sherwood to 8 points on 3 of 10 shooting with one 3-pointer made.
Point Park was led tonight by sophomore guard T.J. Heatherington with 20 points and 7 boards.
Even in the loss senior forward Kris Douse produced a double-double scoring 16 points and having 13 rebounds.
Senior guards Josh Trocchio and Joel Cashett scored 11 and 13 points respectively for the Pioneers.
The win moves Daemen to 10-9 overall with a 5-3 AMC conference record and the loss moves Point Park to 8-4 overall with a 2-2 conference record.
The Pioneers next game is at home this Saturday January 15 as the second part of a Men’s and Women’s doubleheader against Cedarville University. The women’s game tip-off is at 1 P.M. and the Men’s tip time is scheduled for 3 P.M.
