Williams named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for Point Park

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University senior guard Cody Williams has been named a Daktronics-NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete for the 2013-14 season.

Williams, from Belle Vernon, Pa., and Belle Vernon Area High School, is one of 134 men's basketball student-athletes across the country to earn the NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor this year. The award is for juniors and seniors with a career grade-point average above 3.50.

Williams is a senior with a 3.57 GPA in sports, arts and entertainment management. This was his first year on the Point Park men's basketball team, and he is also a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society Point Park Rho Chapter.
