GABE BUBON -- Men's Basketball Assistant Coach

Gabe Bubon is in his fifth season as an assitant coach for the Point Park University men's basketball team.

In addition to his men's basketball coaching duties, Bubon is also the head coach of the Pioneers' men's and women's golf teams.

Bubon's primary responsibilites as a men's basketball assistant include creating scouting reports, working with the team's top guard and top shooters, running individual workouts and tape exchange.

Bubon played basketball at Point Park for one year in 1999-2000. That year he led the American Mideast Conference in scoring at 21.0 points per game, a figure that ranked 10th in NAIA Division I. He holds the Point Park single-game scoring record with 45 points at Shawnee State on Feb. 11, 2000. Bubon made 11 3-pointers in that game, which is also record.

In 2002-03, he averaged 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game at Brewton-Parker College, an NAIA member in Mt. Vernon, Ga. That season he was named the Newcomer of the Year in the Southern States Athletic Conference.

His collegiate playing career also includes a stop at Lakeland Community College.

Before starting his coaching career, Bubon pursued professional playing opportunities in Europe and the USBL.

Bubon got his start in coaching as a men's basketball student assistant at Point Park from 2003-05 before become an assistant coach in 2005-06.

Bubon was a community director in Point Park's campus life office from 2007-09.

GAVIN PROSSER -- Men's Basketball Assistant Coach

Gavin Prosser is in his first year as an assistant coach on the Point Park men's basketball staff. Prosser, who finished up his playing career at Point Park in 2006-07, is one of the top guards to play for the Pioneers.

Prosser, a native of Baldwin, Pa., and graduate of Baldwin High School, scored 1,539 career points, which rank sixth in school history. His 473 career assists rank second all-time, as do his 217 career 3-pointers. Prosser ranks third in Point Park history with 340 free throws made, and his 148 career steals place him 10th in school history.

For his career, Prosser averaged 17.9 points and 5.5 assists per game. He registered career highs of 663 points and 22.1 points per game in 2004-05, his first season at Point Park. The 663 points are the sixth most in a single season in school history.

Prosser, a point guard, led the Pioneers in assists all three years with a career high of 206 coming as a senior in 2006-07. That year he helped the Pioneers to a 29-2 record, a No. 3 ranking in the final NAIA Division II poll, an AMC Championship and a trip to the national tournament.

With Prosser at the helm, the Point Park offense led the nation in scoring in 2005-06 and 2006-07.
