Profile: Washington transferred to Point Park this year. The junior guard/forward spent two years at Mercyhurst North East, although he did not play college basketball either of the last two years. Washington will be eligible to play in the second semester, and at that time, he will give the Pioneers an experienced player in the backcourt. Washington's abilities fit in well with Point Park's transition offense, and he is also a good defender. He has the ability to rebound as a guard.
At Mercyhurst NE: In two years at Mercyhurst NE, Washington played in 52 games and started 35 times. His best season was as a sophomore in 2006-07 when he averaged 10.0 points per game and shot 48 percent from the field.
