Coach Rager: “Dante is our top returning rebounder, and he has given us good defense and rebounding during his career. He has improved offensively. We need him to play like a senior. When he is in the game, he needs to contribute points to the position.”
Profile: Anglin is the only returning player to start every game last year, and he is the top returning rebounder and post defender for the Pioneers. He has been used mainly as a defensive presence who is relied on for defense and rebounding, but he is a capable offensive player as well. Anglin has shot a high percentage for his career at .462. The athletic forward possesses a large wing span, strong leaping ability and size-19 shoes.
2010-11: Anglin had his starting role in the post for every game and enjoyed the most playing time of his career. He averaged 4.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and shot 48% from the field in 17.4 minutes per game. He registered a career high of 16 points versus Maine Fort Kent and also pulled down nine rebounds that game. The other time he reached double figures was with 11 points and eight rebounds at Wilberforce.
2009-10: Anglin started the first 10 games of the season and started 14 games overall. He averaged 15.6 minutes per game. He registered season highs of eight points (vs. Rochester) and nine rebounds (at Houghton). He totaled 14 blocks, which is tops among returners. 2008-09: Played in 27 games and earned six starts. In 15 minutes per game he averaged 4.6 points and 3.9 rebounds while placing second on the team with a field-goal percentage of 49%. He registered double figures in scoring seven times with a career-high 15 points versus Penn State-Fayette. He posted one double-double with 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds at Ohio State-Mansfield.
