Profile: Washington is back on the active roster after sitting out the 2010-11 season. He came to Point Park in 2009-10 after playing two years at Mercyhurst North East. He is the oldest player on the team at 24 years old. Washington, nicknamed “Buck,” will be in the mix for a starting role at the 3 position. He is smart player who can get the job done on both ends of the floor. His ability to rebound from the guard position will be a welcome aspect to the team.2009-10: He played the second half of the year and started nine of the final 14 games. He averaged 4.9 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in the three-guard lineup. Washington had a season-high 13 points versus Cedarville and 10 versus Walsh. He had nine points, six rebounds and three assists versus Daemen. At Mercyhurst NE: In two years at Mercyhurst NE, Washington played in 52 games and started 35 times. His best season was as a sophomore in 2006-07 when he averaged 10.0 points per game and shot 48 percent from the field.
High school: Washington was an All-City performer at Peabody High School. He earned four letters each in basketball, soccer, volleyball and cross country. He was also an all-city pick in volleyball. Personal: Born Feb. 12, 1987…son of Darryl and Mary Washington.
