Point Park men's golf stands 8th of 10 after first round at Muskingum

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- Despite having five players shoot in the 70s, the Point Park University men's golf team stands eighth of 10 teams after Friday's first round of the Muskingum Invitational at Eagle Sticks Golf Course in Zanesville, Ohio. The final round includes another 18 holes Saturday.
The Pioneers carded a team score of 307, which is well behind round-one leader Otterbein University at 285. Denison (288) and Ohio Northern (294) went low along with Otterbein, but just eight shots seperate the next five teams.
Mt. Union (299), Baldwin-Wallace (300), Muskingum (306) and Mt. Vernon Nazarene (306) are in front of Point Park (307).
Point Park's Alejandro Bernardini and James Daley each shot 6-over 76 and are nine shots off the lead in a tie for 28th. Colin Broughton of Mt. Union is the first-round lead with a 3-under 67.
Chris Bowen (77), Collin Holmes (78) and Billy Wivell (79) rounded out the Point Park lineup.
