Malone scores three unanswered goals in 4-2 victory

CANTON, Ohio -- Point Park held a 2-1, second-half lead over Malone in an American Mideast Conference men's soccer match Tuesday, but Malone scored three unanswered goals to come away with a 4-2 victory.
Point Park (1-7 overall, 0-4 AMC) trailed, 1-0, at halftime, but Francis Tabi (Kumasi,Ghana) scored two goals early in the second half to give the Pioneers their first lead.
Tabi scored two goals for the second-consecutive game. The freshman forward scored the first two goals of his career in a 2-0 win at Pitt-Greensburg Sept. 22.
After Malone (3-5-1, 1-1) made 2-2, a Point Park defender took a penalty inside the box. The ensuing penalty kick resulted in a 3-2 lead for Malone with under 30 minutes to play.
Point Park played the final 20 minutes a man down after taking a red card. Malone made it a two-goal game in the 84th minute.
Point Park plays host to Roberts Wesleyan Saturday for an AMC game at Founders Field. Game time is 8 p.m.
