Roberts Wesleyan stays unbeaten in AMC with shutout of Point Park

CHESWICK, Pa. - Roberts Wesleyan remained unbeaten in the American Mideast Conference with a 3-0 victory over Point Park in a men's soccer game at Founders Field Saturday night.

The Raiders (5-4 overall, 4-0 AMC) staked a 2-0 halftime lead on their way to shutting out the Pioneers (1-8, 0-5).

Roberts Wesleyan got on the scoreboard early when Dan Lobene made it 1-0 on an unassisted goal at the 4:14 mark. Twenty minutes later, Dominic Coco made it 2-0 after being set up by Dan Ames. The Raiders' extended their lead to three goals with Brett Littlefield's tally in the 64th minute.

Roberts Wesleyan held a 26-5 advantage in shots. Point Park goalkeeper Zeke O'Donnell (Butler/Butler) made six saves in 90 minutes of work.

Point Park visits LaRoche for a non-conference game Tuesday (5 p.m.).
